Welcome to the home page of the University of Wisconsin - Madison College Republicans! It truly is a great time to be a member of our party. The election cycle of 2010 is looking to be very advantageous for those who want among other things, smaller and more efficient government in our lives.
It has been apparent in the last few months that people are upset with the Democratic Party and their stance on issues such as health care, higher taxes, more spending, and personal liberties. We have seen in polls and public debates on these issues that Americans are angry with what is happening. Unfortunately, the decisions that are being made by lawmakers now will not have as dramatic of an effect on our parents, as they will on us.
As I have said many times before, the current political climate that is anti-incumbent, anti-big government, and in many cases anti-Democratic Party is one that we have not seen in a long time. As the “foot soldiers” and leaders of conservative grassroots activism, we as College Republicans have a chance to produce real change this year. Join us as we take part in a truly historic opportunity to restore the basic ideals of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to this great nation.
